My cousin is working in office and has set up a 2 fast food franchises on side which he works during evening time and day time he hires people to work for him and slowly he is making a big profit.

Popular Franchise Companies

Owning franchises in the United States is just one way to raise capital for yourself and for your business. There are all sorts of reasons why one might want to invest in a franchise on their own, and there definitely are some popular franchises in the United States. If you have ever wanted to know about what’s required when owning a franchise of a certain company then here is the information that you need. Here’s a trivia question that you can take home to your family, though: what franchise has been ranked #1 many times over? You probably could very well guess what it is, and if you were thinking McDonald’s Restaurant you were exactly right. There have several times when McDonald’s Restaurant has been ranked #1 for the food category it’s been placed in, but here are some other interesting facts about owning a McDonald’s franchise:

The McDonald’s Franchise

Did you know that there are more than 11,000 McDonald’s franchises all over the United States? Indeed, McDonald’s has seen tremendous growth in the restaurant level over dozens of years and it has essentially created a world filled with Chicken McNuggets, Big Macs, and Ronald McDonald characters. But it’s actually easy to see why owning a McDonald’s franchise is popular, and it’s actually not as expensive as everyone would have thought. In order to have a McDonald’s franchise about the only thing that is required of the franchisee is to have a cash liquidity value of about $100,000. In addition, the franchise fee for owning a McDonald’s is set right at about $45,000 and the total investment that one is required to put forth when creating a McDonald’s franchise restaurant altogether is somewhere between half-a-million dollars and one-and-a-half million dollars!

On the other hand, owning a McDonald’s franchise restaurant is well worth the opportunity, which is why many franchisees see it as a golden opportunity. Considering the fact that many McDonald’s franchises make well over $1 million per year, having a McDonald’s franchise under your belt may be just the thing you need. In return, though, be prepared to pay a hefty royalty fee to the McDonald’s headquarters, which is currently set right at about twelve percent!

Burger King is Much More

You may be surprised to find out, however, that when it comes to owning a franchise, Burger King is more all over. The franchise fee is more, the total franchise investment is more, but the only thing that is less is actually the royalty fee, which is just around five percent! Who would have thought that owning a Burger King, though, would be more expensive than a McDonald’s franchise? In fact, a Burger King franchise costs just about double what a McDonald’s franchisee is required to have available and pay.

Nevertheless, these are two of the most popular franchises throughout the United States. The McDonald’s Corporation is definitely raking in the dough, but the comparison up against their fast food restaurant rival, Burger King, is interesting as well!

How To Be Successful in Gift Home Business

In previous post, I wrote about how to start a gift home business idea which is simple, almost anyone can do it. You will not special skill set or special degree to start up such a business. What I like is that you do not need to invest lot of money upfront, so you can get started right away. Here we will take it further and see how to make it successful.

How To Be Successful With Your Gift Basket Business;

Creating a unique business always gives you the upper hand because it gives you the opportunity to stand out from the crowd. If you live in a relatively small town and would like to start a gift basket business then chances are that you are pretty much the only one in town who is going to do such a thing. As a side note, one of the great things about living in small towns is that you can develop creative businesses without fear of it being replicated too much, but on the other hand big cities usually always have duplicates of small businesses. Nevertheless, though, a gift basket business is not only a lucrative opportunity for you to profit in your market you’re about to advertise to, but it also gives you the chance to hone your creative thinking skills and personality!

If you have already somewhat gotten started making gift baskets and advertising your service to family and friends then you probably already have a lot of orders coming in. This can be a good thing because it allows you to get your feet wet without having a full-fledged brick-and-mortar gift basket store, but once you can keep up with the orders then it may be time to take your gift basket biz to the next level.

What’s the next level, though?  In many businesses people see the “next level” as something that they will eventually reach, but the next level for a small gift basket business often involves making professional ways to advertise your services at the very least. For example, creating a website is just one of the ways you can successfully advertise your services. Another way, though, is through the development of business cards that you can pass around your city or town. The point is, though, to spread the word about your profession so that you will be able to have orders for gift baskets coming in daily. Let’s face it: there are plenty of occasions going on daily that people need gift baskets for and tapping into the market is one good thing about your business.

Another thing that one should definitely do with his or her gift basket business is to keep him or her self as organized as possible. Even though you may have previously just gone out to stores to create gift baskets on a per-order basis, one idea to try would be to keep everything at your house or another storage facility so that you can simply use the resources and materials that you have as you need them. This will not only save a whole lot of money, but you’ll also be saving valuable time as well just in case a whole bunch of gift basket orders come in all at once!

There are plenty of other ways to be successful with your gift basket biz. If you’re just starting out in the business then you may want to experience making many different types of the gift baskets themselves, changing the actual gift baskets that you use, or just mixing things up a bit so that your business will stay as creative as possible!

Part 9 – More Monetizing Options

We’ve discussed about using Google Adsense program and other merchants’ affiliate programs to generate profits from your blog. However, we have a lot of other options of monetize your blog, so we’re going to look into that today. Here are a few more ways to monetize your blog and make money from home.

Chitika Program

The first option we’ll be looking at is Chitika (www.chitika.com). Chitika is a very innovative contextual advertising program because it can serve very detailed advertisements. For example, on your technological gadget blog, Chitika will show advertisements for tech gadgets such as iPods. The way they show it is in different tabs: one for “Best deals”, another for “details”, another for “reviews” and so on. This way, it is more of an informational section for your visitor rather than an advertisement, and naturally the click-through will be higher. You can apply here: https://chitika.com/application.php?type=mm

Amazon Affiliate Program:

You can also be an affiliate for Amazon.com. Amazon offers a wide range of products but its predominant domain is in books. Whatever your niche is about, you can probably find a book about it on Amazon.com. Join their Associate programme here: https://associates.amazon.com/gp/flex/associates/apply-login.html/

Once you join them, you can refer visitors to them and earn up to 8% commission. It’s not a lot but if you can manage to refer big volumes of visitors, Amazon is for you. This program really shines when it comes to the ways you can refer visitors: you can use their predefined templates to pull up recent items that match a certain criteria you set, you can target your ad to show a specific item on sale or you can just simply weave your referral links into your blog posts.

Sell Ad Space on Your Blog:

Last but definitely not least, you can sell advertising space on your blog if your blog is truly popular. Just take a look at any popular blog with high page rank and traffic.Any blog that receives over 10,000 page views every day and naturally merchants will want to strike a deal with the blog’s owner to post their advertisements there. If you manage to pull in huge amounts of traffic like that blog, you can definitely get people to buy ad space on your blog for prices from $150/month upwards, depending on your blog popularity.

How to Know Your Pageviews and Visitors:

One way to know your page view and daily traffic is through free tool, called  Google Analytic at http://www.google.com/analytics/. Sign up with your Google account and add your site to it. Another way to gauge how much pageviews and visitors you get everyday, just use the free tool available at www.statcounter.com. They have a very detailed setup guide there so I won’t go into it.

If your blog has not acquired large amount of visitors yet, you can still sell ad space on your blog on a per click or per impression basis. Just visit sites like www.adbrite.com. For a complete list of these sites, visit http://performancing.com/node/60.

Hopefully, that will help you maximize earnings and profits from your blog! Keep working and with time, your blog will be making money in every day consistently.

Part 8 – Monetizing Your Blog

Now that you have great content that readers likes and traffic to your site, it is time to monetize your blog so that you can make money from it. You can monetize your site from before, but it will be futile as you will have little content and little traffic to make any impact. However it is personal choice. Whenever you are ready to monetize, here are some great tips that I have learned.

You have been working hard to produce good-quality, original content on your blog and you have attracted a decent amount of traffic by doing so. However, money is not going to appear out of thin air just because you have traffic. You have to turn your traffic into money.

Make Money With Google Adsense:

There are several ways to generate profits from the visitors of your blog, and Google’s Adsense program allows you to do so with ultimate ease. First, visit their website at http://adsense.google.com/. You’ll find out more about their advertising program there, but here are some extra bits I’d like to tell you.

First, Google’s Adsense program is a really useful way to monetize your blog because when users finish reading your newest post, chances are they want to leave your blog because they have nothing else to do on your blog. If your Adsense advertisement block is visible on your blog, they might see advertisements relevant to them and click on them to exit your blog. Ka-ching! You’ve just cashed in on your first virtual cents!

But yes, your profits will only be cents if you don’t “do it right”. This involves placing your Google ads in the right places and ensuring they blend in to your site so that they appear more like links rather than advertisements to your visitors. Consult the page https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html to see the “heat map” of your blog. The “hotter” a certain area, the greater the chances of someone looking at your blog.

Once you get a Google Adsense account, you can change the color of your advertisement text and links. You will want them to match the colors on your blog. If your blog’s text is black and the links are red, do the same for the ad blocks too! It’s that simple. One thing to keep in mind that some keyword will pay higher compared to other so, make sure you do your search on free keyword tool to know if your niche is profitable or not.

One thing that most blogger like about adsense is, people do not have to buy a product, if they simply clicked on product links, you will make some money. However, Google is notorious for canceling the fraud links so make sure you do not click on your own ads or ask your family or friends to do it, according to Adseense TOS or you will risk losing your adsense account.

Make Money With An Affiliate Products:

Another way to earn profits from your blog is to recommend products to your readers. When your visitors buy from the merchants you recommend, you get to keep a little commission too. This is known as affiliate marketing and it is very easy to start because you don’t have to create your own products or services.

Anyway, let’s refer back to our technological gadgets blog example. Let’s say you discover this Gadget X on a merchant’s website, and they offer an affiliate program. What you would do is to create a post in your blog and do a mini-review on this Gadget X. Rip it apart and point out its benefits and bad points, if any, and include a link (which is given by the merchant) for the visitor to purchase the Gadget X online.

If your visitor clicks and purchases the gadget, the merchant will track from the link that the purchase is referred by you, so they will send you your share of the profits. Imagine if 1 out of every 100 visitors you get purchases this product, and you earn $27.00 commission from each purchase! If you get 10,000 visitors in a month that would be a $2,700.00 pay check for you just for writing about ONE product.

How to Find Affiliate Program for Your Blog Niche:

Now, affiliate programs are very nice ways to generate profit, but how do you find affiliate programs that are related to your blog’s theme? Easy, just go to Google and search for <your niche> +”affiliate programs”. Another slightly better way is to go to http://www.associateprograms.com/search to look for affiliate programs in your niche.

The two ways mentioned above are basic ways to generate profits from your blog. We’ll be discussing other great, profitable ways, so keep your eyes peeled!
